A rare set of postmodern sculptural chairs with a strikingly graphic, architectural design, emblematic of 1980s European design.
These chairs are distinguished by their slender, light gray lacquered tubular aluminum frame combined with a backrest made of taut, gold-toned metal cables, reminiscent of harp strings.
Their minimalist and theatrical silhouette evokes contemporary Brutalist interiors as well as the radical postmodern aesthetic of the late 20th century.
The cables have recently been retensioned to restore their original tension and lines.
The seats have been reupholstered in black leather.
The set is in good overall condition with some visible signs of wear and scuffs on the metal frame, consistent with the age and use of the pieces (see photos).
Most of the chairs retain their original labels.
