This set of four Robert Mallet-Stevens chairs, type 222, is an iconic example of modernist design. The clean lines and minimalist silhouette make these chairs a timeless addition to any interior. The chairs are crafted from black lacquered metal, creating a robust and industrial look. Each piece is uniquely numbered with perforated digits in the seat, contributing to the authenticity and character of the set. Furthermore, the chairs are stackable, making them not only aesthetically pleasing but also very practical. The set is in good condition with a characteristic patina befitting its age and use. The original finish has been preserved, underscoring the historical value of these design classics. These chairs come into their own perfectly in a modern or industrial interior. They are ideal as dining chairs around a sleek table or as striking accent chairs in a minimalist space.
