Product description
This elegant set of 2 vintage Czechoslovak lounge armchairs was designed by Jaroslav Šmídek for TON and dates from the 1960s. The chairs represent the refined character of mid-century Czechoslovak furniture design, combining a relaxed seating angle, clean proportions and beautifully curved wooden armrests.
The armchairs feature a distinctive upholstered seat and backrest in a teal patterned fabric, finished with light piping and decorative button details on the backrest. The dark curved wooden armrests create a strong visual contrast with the upholstery and give the chairs their elegant, sculptural silhouette.
Their comfortable proportions make them ideal as lounge chairs, reading chairs or stylish accent seating for a living room, office, library or vintage-inspired interior.
