About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This set of two modernist side tables from the 1990s is inspired by Gerrit Rietveld's iconic Zig-Zag chair. The asymmetrical design without corner support gives the tables an open, floating character that immediately catches the eye. The tables are crafted from solid walnut wood and have a height of 104 cm. The construction, presumably featuring an internal metal frame, deviates from the original Rietveld design and creates a sleek, seamless appearance. The warm brown tone of the walnut wood accentuates the natural wood grain. The set is in good condition. The tables are structurally solid and show minimal signs of use. These side tables function perfectly as standing tables or as pedestals for displaying art objects. They fit seamlessly into a minimalist or modernist interior and add a playful, architectural element to the space.
