Set of 2 Jacquard postmodern lounge chairs, 1980s Italy. This pair of postmodern lounge chairs, originating from Italy, reflects the playful yet functional design language of late 20th-century Italian furniture. The chairs feature a distinctive dark grey metal base construction that creates a subtle floating effect, giving the seats a light and architectural presence despite their generous proportions. Their low profile and relaxed form make them suitable for both lounge and living spaces. The chairs have been newly upholstered in a black and off-white Jacquard patterned fabric, adding texture and a graphic quality that complements the sculptural base. The darker tone of the fabric subtly shifts depending on how the light falls on it, creating a changing depth of colour. The set is in very good restored vintage condition.
