Set of 2 Circle armchairs – Mazairac & Boonzaaijer – 1980s
Description
A special set of two Circle armchairs, designed by Pierre Mazairac & Karel Boonzaaijer in the 1980s.
The design is instantly recognizable by its sculptural, round tubular metal frame. The large curved armrests extend into the base, while the upholstered seat and back appear to hang almost loosely within the frame.
Features a white lacquered metal frame and light blue/green mottled textured fabric.
The armchairs are in used vintage condition. The original upholstery shows signs of wear and localized discoloration/stains. The frame also has some paint damage and signs of use. Please see the photos for a good impression of the condition.
A beautiful and characteristic set of Dutch design from the 1980s. Lovely in original condition, but also very suitable for professional reupholstering. Design: Pierre Mazairac & Karel Boonzaaijer
