Private sellerProduct description
Here is a vintage hors d'oeuvre set, dating from the 1950-1960 period, composed of glass and gilded metal. This set stands out for its manganese glass composition, a mid-20th century material known for its unique luminescence under ultraviolet light.
The set includes a circular metal tray with a gilded finish and integrated handles, as well as several removable pressed and ribbed glass compartments. A central square compartment features a matching lid with a spherical handle, adding a touch of functional elegance. The particularity of this set lies in its uranium glass, which gives it a vibrant green color when exposed to black light.
In excellent condition for its age, this set has retained its structural integrity and aesthetic appeal. It presents the character and patina expected of an authentically vintage piece, testifying to its history and careful use over the decades.
This set is ideal for serving appetizers or condiments at receptions. It fits perfectly into a Mid-Century Modern, Art Deco, or classic decor, bringing a touch of sophistication to a dining table or buffet.
