Product description
Splendid and very rare 8-piece Space Age coffee (or tea) service, made in the heart of the 1970s. This set, in perfect condition, is structured around a large circular tray of 40 cm in tangerine orange thermoformed plastic, the cult color of the seventies. The service includes: • A lightweight borosilicate glass coffee pot (pourer), with its handle and lid in satin black plastic. • Six matching cups formed by a removable transparent glass insert, clipped into rigid plastic cup holders with handles, featuring soft curves and contrasting pop colors (two royal blue, two bright red, one saffron yellow, and one meadow green). A highly graphic and emblematic set of post-war industrial plastic design, sought after to brighten up a brunch or perfect a retro decor. Features: • Style: Space Age / Pop Art / 1970s • Materials: Molded plastic (ABS), glass and metal • Era: Circa 1970-1975 • Dimensions: Tray Ø 40 cm (H 5 cm) | Coffee pot H 16 cm (Ø 10 cm) | Cups H 7 cm (9 x 7 cm) • Condition: Perfect condition (Mint). The plastic materials have a total mirror finish, the glasses are without any opacity or scratches.
