For sale is an absolute highlight of postmodern German lighting design: The sculptural Floor light model „Mithra“ (also „Mitra“).
This spectacular light object was designed in the 1980s by designers Hans Gabriel Schroll and Stefan Homeier.
The lamp impresses with its raw yet elegant handcrafted character. The frame is made of hand-cut steel, which has been given a fascinating, individual surface patina through flame treatment (tempering). An absolute eye-catcher are the laterally attached wing elements made of real, black-dyed turkey feathers with striking red windings on the quills.
In the center, a vertical tubular light bulb (Linestra/Architectural lamp) emits a warm, atmospheric light. A true collector's item for lovers of postmodern 80s design, Memphis style, and exceptional craftsmanship.
