Product description
This mid-century easy chair is a masterful design by the renowned Bauhaus-trained architect Selman Selmanagić, originally designed in 1957. Selmanagić was a pivotal figure in modern design, known for his ability to translate architectural precision into domestic furniture. This piece features his signature sculptural wooden armrests and a balanced, ergonomic profile that defines the elegance of the era.
The chair’s slim, tapered legs and distinctive frame silhouette create a sense of lightness and sophistication, making it a timeless addition to any interior collection.
Restoration & Condition
The chair has been fully refurbished to a professional standard, ensuring it is ready for many more decades of use.
Upholstery: It has been newly reupholstered in a high-quality, vibrant yellow fabric. The textured weave and bright tone perfectly complement the dark wood of the frame.
Frame: The solid wooden frame and sculptural armrests have been carefully restored and refinished, highlighting the deep, natural grain of the wood.
