Product description
This is the 'Selanda' bowl, designed by Danish glass designer Per Lütken for Royal Copenhagen in 1957. This piece is a refined example of post-war Scandinavian design, crafted from clear crystal. The design is characterized by its organic, asymmetrical shape, typical of Lütken's work and the Mid-Century Modern aesthetic.
The bowl is expertly hand-blown, resulting in a fluid, sculptural form that beautifully catches and reflects light. Its elongated, boat-like contour and the clarity of the crystal emphasize the purity of the material and the craftsmanship. As a creation of Royal Copenhagen, a renowned Danish manufacturer, this object represents an important piece of design history.
The overall condition of the bowl is good. The original Royal Copenhagen Crystal sticker is still intact, confirming the authenticity and careful preservation of the piece. The clarity and brilliance of the crystal have been fully preserved.
This Selanda bowl functions both as a standalone decorative object and as a functional bowl. It seamlessly fits into an interior with a preference for Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian design, or minimalist styles, forming an elegant accent on a sideboard, coffee table, or in a display cabinet.
