About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a classic English secretaire, crafted from richly grained walnut wood. The piece of furniture combines the functionality of a Desk with the elegance of a storage cabinet, a design characteristic of traditional English furniture.
The secretaire is finished in a warm, brown walnut color and stands on graceful cabriole legs. Behind the fold-down flap, which is inlaid with leather, there is a practical interior with various open compartments and small drawers for organizing stationery. Below the writing area, two spacious drawers offer additional storage space. The furniture is finished with brass fittings that accentuate its classic character.
The furniture shows a patina consistent with its age and use, which contributes to its authentic appearance. The construction is solid and the furniture is fully functional, with working drawers and flap.
This secretaire is a refined addition to a study, living room, or hallway. It fits perfectly within a classic, rural, or eclectic interior, where it can serve as a functional workspace or a decorative accent piece.
