From 1985 to 1990, Constantijn studied drawing and painting at the Tilburg Academy of Fine Arts. He was taught by Marlene Dumas and Jan Dibbets, among others. From a young age, he shared a love of form and color with his father, the painter
Nico Molenkamp. Constantijn and Molenkamp began drawing on the Domburg coast from a young age. In 1990, Molenkamp began painting multi-colored abstract seascapes, which he calls "seascapes." A fictional term that powerfully depicts the relationship between sky, dunes, beach, and sea. Later, the "seascapes" evolved into the landscapes known as "landmarks" on his canvases. Shapes in the landscape, abstractly depicted with lines and colors. The colors serve to accentuate the shapes.
As an independent visual artist, Constantijn Molenkamp has exhibited numerous times.
