Product description
Very beautiful antique terracotta Sculpture by Jean Portal, depicting a female nude, early 20th century. This charming work captivates with the softness of its curves, the elegance of its proportions, and the delicate modeling of the female body. Its fragmentary composition, without head or arms, gives it a particularly expressive sculptural dimension, evoking studio studies and classical sculptures. The terracotta has a magnificent natural patina with pinkish and ocher nuances, which admirably highlights the volumes and bears witness to the passage of time. Sculpture signed Jean Portal at the end of one of the legs. Some small scratches, particularly on the back, as well as slight stains and signs of use, without altering the charm of this very beautiful piece. The original base is absent, but the sculpture can be presented standing, receive a new base, or simply be placed horizontally, thus offering another interpretation of its lines and volumes. An authentic decorative piece, full of character, ideal for an interior combining ancient art and contemporary decoration.
Dimensions: {height: 40 cm - width: 16 cm - depth: 13cm}.
