Superb sculptural Mid-Century French ceramic coffee/tea set from Vallauris (1950s–1960s).
This service is distinguished by its organic and spectacular lines, combining a very deep glossy black background with a vibrant, vitrified emerald green reactive enamel. A magnificent illustration of modernist art pottery from the South of France.
Authenticity: Stamped with the official « VALLAURIS » mark impressed into the clay under the base.
The set includes:
* 1 sculptural Pourer / Coffee pot with its lid
* 1 milk jug
* 1 sugar bowl
* 4 organically shaped cups with their matching wavy saucers
Condition: Very good overall vintage condition with slight signs of age. Please note a tiny, very clean and invisible micro-restoration on the tip of the pourer's spout, micro lack of enamel on one cup (see enlargement)
