Product description
This is a unique set of three sculptural candle holders, designed by the Dutch artist Geert Kunen. The sculptural group combines art with functionality, with each holder shaped as a stylized, abstract human figure, characteristic of Kunen's work.The figures are made from cast metal with a dark, bronze-colored patina and a rough, textured surface. This finish gives the objects a tactile quality and subtly catches the light. Each sculpture is signed 'G Kunen' on the back, confirming its authenticity. The recess in the body is perfect for a tea light, providing an atmospheric and warm light.The overall condition of the set is very good. The texture and patina are a conscious part of the artistic design and give the objects a timeless and robust character. They are complete and well preserved.Regarding the mentioned 'discolouring': some small nicks in the glaze. See last photo. Very inconspicuous and perhaps just glaze imperfections, but I want to mention them anyway.These candle holders make a strong statement in various interiors, from Brutalist and industrial to modern or eclectic. They look beautiful as a group on a sideboard, mantelpiece or coffee table and add both artistic depth and atmospheric lighting to the space.
