A rare and sculptural ceramic table lamp designed by Bonnie Rehnqvist for Törnqvst Keramik, Sweden.
This exceptional lamp base is a wonderful example of Scandinavian mid-century modern ceramics, distinguished by its grand form. The lamp subtly resembles stylized African figures that gives the piece a distinctive sculptural presence.
The lamp is finished in one of Bonnie Rehnqvist's most striking glazes. A rich, deep brown glaze with details in various muted colors. The textured matte base has an almost burnt ochre like appearance, creating a sophisticated interplay between glossy glazing that feels remarkably contemporary.
Both unusual, functional and highly decorative, the lamp possesses the qualities of a ceramic sculpture as much as a lighting object. Whether placed on a side table, console, or bedside, it serves as a striking focal point and complements interiors ranging from Scandinavian and mid-century modern to contemporary spaces.

Condition: Very good. Light wear consistent with age and use only a micro chip on the rim.
