This artwork is a screen print by the famous Dutch artist Nic Jonk (1928-1994). The image depicts two foxes in a mirrored composition representing day and night. Although the inscription in the corner states "Nic 1998", the artist himself passed away in 1994. The 1998 date and the edition size (number 29 of 350) suggest a posthumous publication by his own Museum and Sculpture Garden Nic Jonk in 1998.
Expressionistic and colorful, characteristic of Jonk's graphic work, which often combines themes from nature and mythology.
Technique: This is a screen print on paper. The museum regularly publishes graphic work based on designs by Jonk.
Subject: An orange fox walking above green grass under a sun-drenched red sky, mirrored with a fox floating upside down under a blue starry sky with a moon.
