Model "Layth" is an English quality piece of furniture from the renowned brand "Schreiber".
At the end of the 60s, early 70s, a series of sleek and modern-looking furniture from this manufacturer is released in England, they are designed entirely according to the prevailing trends with details that we also see at brands such as G-Plan, just take a look to the beautiful wooden handles. We also see many influences from the then very popular Scandinavian design language.
"Schreiber" is a very modern equipped factory, which, due to a high degree of automation and with the characteristic English craftsmanship, can produce quality furniture in relatively large quantities, so the prices at the introduction can be called competitive.
They use first-class materials when it comes to sheet material and hinges and locks for their furniture. People do not shy away from applying new processes in order to achieve a very sleek finished whole, various patents are awarded for this.
One of those new methods was, for example, the use of the so-called "Lamination" to replace the usual "Veneering". By mechanically executing the wood prints in a type of plastic, a very tight end result is possible within low costs, the process is comparable to the still immensely popular floor type "Laminate" which is very colourful, wear-resistant and requires little maintenance.
Model "Layth" is in a neat used condition, still very nice to look at and full of character, it came from the first owners in England and was still in use there until autumn 2021. Of course there are some visible signs of wear, accumulated over the past 60 years, but never really disturbing to our taste, the photos give you a good idea of the cabinet.
Very suitable as a beautiful sideboard with beautiful decoration against a sleek long wall, but also because of its fine size also a perfect TV furniture, whether you live small or spacious, its size and the presence of the beautiful round handles make model "Layth" a real everyone's friend!
