This particular cabinet comes directly from England and is from the brand Schreiber.
In the late 60s, early 70s, a series of sleek and modern-looking furniture comes out in England from this manufacturer, they are designed entirely according to the prevailing trends with details that we then also see in brands like G-Plan, just look at the beautiful wooden handles. We also see many influences of the then very popular Scandinavian design language.
"Schreiber" is a very modern equipped factory, which through high levels of automation and with the characteristic English craftsmanship, can produce quality furniture in relatively large quantities, this is why the prices at introduction can be called sharp.
They use first class materials when it comes to sheet metal and hardware for their furniture. They are not afraid to apply new processes in order to achieve a very tight finish.
One of these new methods was the use of so-called "Lamination" to replace the usual "Veneering". By machining the wood prints in a kind of plastic, a very tight end result is possible at low cost, the process is similar to the still immensely popular flooring type "Laminate" which is very color and wear resistant and requires little maintenance.
Model ""unsmore" is in good used condition, still very nice to see and full of character, from the first owners in England and there until summer 2023 still in use. Of course there are some minimal wear visible, incurred in the past 60 years, but to our taste never really disturbing, the pictures give you a neat picture of the cabinet.
Very special is that this cabinet at the top has a display section with sliding glass doors. In the middle of a room, but also against a tight wall, this model will look perfect, a beauty!
