About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
A vintage Dining tables, crafted from teak wood, embodying the essence of Mid-Century design. This piece of furniture is characterized by its warm wood tones and functional design, typical of the Scandinavian style from the mid-twentieth century.
The table is entirely made of teak wood with a rich, honey-brown color and a visible, lively grain structure. The design features two foldable leaves, allowing the table to be easily adjusted from a compact side table to a full-sized Dining tables. The construction rests on four elegant, tapered legs that accentuate the slender silhouette of the furniture. A label on the underside refers to the 'Oslo' model and its origin via Zwijnenburg from Schoonhoven, which underlines the Dutch connection to Scandinavian design.
The overall condition of the table is good and in line with its age. Over the years, the teak wood has developed a characteristic patina that contributes to its authentic appearance. The original finish has been preserved, and the construction, including the mechanism for the leaves, is solid and functional.
Thanks to its flexible design, this table is particularly suitable for both smaller and larger living spaces. It fits seamlessly into an interior with a preference for vintage, Scandinavian, or Mid-Century Modern styles and combines excellently with other design classics from that period.
