Product description
This expressive painting, titled 'The Sea', is a striking example of abstract art by Marie-Jeanne Van de Velde. The work stands out due to the powerful, impasto brushstrokes and dynamic use of color that reflects the turbulence of the sea.
The artwork is created using acrylic or oil paint on canvas, resulting in a rich texture and depth in the composition. The dominant colors blue, gray, and ochre are accentuated by bright red details, creating a lively contrast. On the reverse side, the canvas is signed and dated December 1995, confirming the authenticity and provenance of the piece.
The painting is in excellent condition, with the original texture and color intensity fully preserved. The robust paint layers contribute to the authentic character of this unique work.
This painting makes a powerful statement in both modern and eclectic interiors. It comes into its own particularly well in a living room or study, where it attracts attention as a captivating centerpiece and enriches the space with its expressive energy.
