Product description
Scheurich handled vase in glazed ceramic, characteristic of West German decorative productions from the 1970s.
Its tall, cylindrical silhouette is enlivened by a wide annular handle and a particularly expressive decor. A bright red band, traversed by black relief patterns, contrasts with olive green drips and mottled grey-brown areas. Variations in thickness and material effects give the glaze all the presence sought in Fat Lava ceramics.
The original Scheurich label is still present. The underside bears the embossed inscriptions “401-28” and “W. GERMANY”. An old label from Galerie Coquereau in Tournai is also preserved on the other side.
