Antique copper ship's lamp, also known as an onion lamp due to the characteristic spherical shape of the glass. This type of lantern was traditionally used on ships because the glass globe protected the flame from wind and rain, while the copper or brass housing was resistant to salty seawater.
Made of copper with a glass globe and a metal protective cage. Originally, this was an oil lamp, but this example has been converted for electric use. Lighting has been tested and works properly. This beautiful ship's lamp, known as the 'Union Lantern', embodies the maritime charm of the early 20th century. With its robust brass construction and clear glass globe, this lamp radiates an authentic nautical atmosphere that is perfect for both classic and modern interiors.
- Made of high-quality brass and glass, this lamp offers durability and a timeless aesthetic.
- The lamp is designed to emit a warm, inviting glow, ideal for mood lighting in any room.
- The vintage design makes it a unique piece that is both functional and decorative.
