This adjustable recliner, designed by Ingmar Relling for Optima, is a striking example of Scandinavian design with clear influences from the Bauhaus style. The design is characterized by a flowing, tubular frame that creates a striking silhouette, where functionality and aesthetics come together seamlessly. The chair is crafted with a chrome-plated metal frame that forms a sturdy and elegant base. The seat and backrest are upholstered in black leather, featuring a distinctive horizontal stitching pattern. The headrest is removable. The mechanism allows the user to adjust the chair to various positions, as documented in the included original manual from 'die Collection'. The piece of furniture is in good condition, commensurate with its age and use. Some stitching on the seat is worn (see last photo).
