A small jewelry box of great softness, molded from satiny rose-tinted glass with pearlescent reflections. Its trilobate shape, suggested by three rounded lobes that create a heart form, gives it an immediately recognizable silhouette. The lid and the inside of the base each feature a seagull in flight, acid-etched directly into the glass. The satiny glass plays with light in a particularly captivating way. Its matte surface captures ambient light and diffuses it into a soft glow, while the polished interior reflects light with greater intensity. This type of pink pressed glass box, with engraved animal decoration, is characteristic of French or Bohemian glass production from the 1930s-1950s, in the style of Lalique's creations. Approximately 12 cm wide, 10 cm deep. The glass is in lovely condition, with the subtle charm of objects that have spanned several decades.
