About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This is a signed and numbered sculpture by the artist Salvatore Melani, executed in a characteristic Art Deco style. The work depicts a stylized African woman in a serene, kneeling posture, a typical theme for the period.
The sculpture is made of a ceramic material with a matte black finish for the figure, accented with gold-colored details on the neck rings and bracelets. Next to the woman are a pink jug and a white-black striped bowl, resting on a grey, irregularly shaped base. On the back, the work is clearly signed with "S. MELANI" and bears the number "211", indicating a production in a limited edition.
The overall condition of the sculpture is very good, retaining its original finish and colors. The patina is consistent with the object's age and contributes to its authentic character. The sculpture presents itself as a complete and unaltered piece from the Art Deco period.
This decorative sculpture is an elegant accent for a sideboard, console table, or display cabinet. It fits perfectly within a classic, Art Deco, or eclectic interior, where it adds a touch of historical refinement.
