Product description
Russian troika with horse statue is a beautiful bronze gift for to a collector of bronze statues from Russia. Mounted on a beautiful marble base stamped and signed. after a model by the artist Vasilii Grachev 1831-1905. The statue is darker in color in real life, see photo 2. The dimensions of this Bronze Russian troika with horse and sleigh bronze statue is: HxWxL: 10.5 x 9.1 x 25 cm. As is typical with works from the Woerffel foundry, this piece is cast with extreme precision and attention to detail . The chiseling is impeccable and detailed in every aspect despite the fact that this bronze sculpture is quite small, while the details are almost life-size. It depicts a scene of a beautifully dressed Cossack in his troika running with his horse at full trot through the snowy ground. The level of complexity is remarkable , the armor is an incredibly complex mixture of loops and straps , each perfectly cast proportionate to the scene. These are wonderful variations of bronze statues to own with a rich and deep patina , ranging from the deepest of black to gold on the inside of the horse's legs. This bronze statue is a very beautiful piece that will be treasured by any serious collector of Russian bronze statues .
