Condition: Good condition - used with minimal signs of wear and age - 2 small imperfections on the lower stand ring, otherwise in fine condition. Lighting has been tested, new socket installed. This table lamp is a design by Otto Gerharz for Ruscha, produced in the 1970s. The model, known as 'Vulcano', is characterized by an expressive ceramic base that reflects the aesthetics of West German pottery from that period.
The lamp is crafted from ceramic with a striking red glaze, combined with a light textile shade. The texture of the base displays a subtle relief with dark accents, contributing to the volcanic character after which the model is named. The shade provides a soft, diffuse light distribution.
The object is in good vintage condition, with the original finish and characteristic glaze well preserved. The wiring is present and the lamp functions properly.
