Product description
This ceramic wall plate is a work by the West German manufacturer Ruscha, dating from the Mid-Century era. The piece is distinguished by its abstract design and thick glaze, representative of the German art pottery movement of that period.
Crafted from ceramic, this plate features a complex sculptural relief with a vibrant color palette. Bright red, orange, and yellow glazes contrast with textured black and white finishes, creating a dynamic and visually striking composition. The style evokes space-age and brutalist themes, popular in the 1960s and 1970s, the probable period of its production in West Germany.
The plate is in excellent condition for its age, having retained the integrity of its vibrant colors and original finish. The rich texture and glossy finish of the main elements are well preserved, testifying to the quality of Ruscha's craftsmanship. It is equipped with its original hanging system on the back.
This decorative piece makes a strong focal point in a Mid-Century Modern, eclectic, or brutalist interior. It fits perfectly above a wooden sideboard, in a living room or entrance hall, adding a touch of art and design history to the space.
