Product description
Here, two cultures merge: post-war carpentry and Art Deco aesthetics. The round top made of light marble sits in a sturdy walnut frame, beneath which four curved legs support a second shelf. The wood is veneered, highlighting its warm grain, while the marble top displays its natural structure.
Manufacturer and design are unknown, but the craftsmanship suggests European work from the 1950s. The condition is good: the walnut shows the usual patina, the marble has a few fine signs of use, and the construction is stable. A table that has already held magazines, coffee cups, and probably a doily or two – and will continue to do so.
