A vintage porcelain cup and saucer from the renowned Danish manufacturer Royal Copenhagen. This piece is part of the 'Blauwe Waaier' series, a design known for its refined aesthetics and craftsmanship.
Crafted from high-quality white porcelain, the set is characterized by a subtly woven texture on its surface. The rims of both the cup and saucer are adorned with a hand-painted, geometric band in a deep cobalt blue color, a signature of Royal Copenhagen. The handle of the cup is entirely in the same blue hue, creating an elegant contrast with the white porcelain. The underside is marked with the authentic factory stamp, the three blue waves, and the model numbers 1212/11538.
This set is in impeccable condition. According to its provenance, the piece was acquired in the 1970s as a sample and has remained unused since, thus fully retaining its original luster and finish. The absence of signs of use makes it an exceptionally well-preserved example from that period.
This cup and saucer is an elegant addition to a tableware collection or can be presented as a decorative object in a display cabinet. It seamlessly fits into both classic and Scandinavian interiors and is a beautiful example of timeless Danish design.
