Product description
This is a striking sculpture of a bulldog, designed by the Dutch artist Roy van der Laars. The work combines a classic animal form with a distinctive and detailed finish, resulting in a unique decorative object.
The sculpture is crafted in a ceramic look and features rich blue and white painting reminiscent of traditional Delft Blue or classic toile de jouy patterns. The decoration depicts detailed scenes and figures, including religious and classical motifs. Notable details include the gold-colored nose and the rhinestone-inlaid eyes, which give the piece an eclectic character. The name 'Christian Dior' is visible on the legs and back, suggesting an artistic interpretation or homage. The work is signed by the artist on the underside.
The sculpture is in good condition and retains its original luster and character. The combination of the classic form and the detailed painting makes it an intriguing work of art.
This object serves as a striking statement piece in a modern or eclectic interior. It comes into its own particularly well in a prominent location, such as a pedestal or a spacious console, where the details of the painting can be fully appreciated.
