Product description
This is the Roundette extendable dining set, designed by Hans Olsen for Frem Røjle in Denmark during the 1960s. The set is a defining example of Mid-Century Modern ingenuity, featuring a circular table and four chairs that integrate seamlessly into the table's apron when not in use. Constructed from teak wood, the set showcases a rich brown tone characteristic of the era. The chairs are upholstered in black skai, providing a durable and visually striking contrast to the wood. The table includes an integrated butterfly extension leaf, allowing it to expand from a circular to an oval form to accommodate additional guests. The manufacturer's mark, 'Frem Røjle Made in Denmark', is visible on the underside, confirming its provenance. The set remains in good condition, reflecting careful use over the decades while retaining its structural integrity and original character. The extension mechanism operates smoothly, and the skai upholstery is intact. This dining set is highly suited to compact dining spaces or open-plan living areas where space efficiency is valued. Its clean lines and functional design make it a natural fit for Scandinavian or Mid-Century Modern interiors.
