Winkle & Co, England Set of six flat plates in fine white earthenware, adorned with a blue printed frieze decoration on the rim: festooned garlands, small flowers, and shell motifs repeating all around the edge, in the pure spirit of English tableware from the late 19th / early 20th century. Marked underneath the foot "England / Cheltenham / F.W. & Co" — the mark of the F. Winkle & Co factory, established in Stoke-on-Trent, in the historic cradle of English pottery (Staffordshire).
