This classic jardinière from Rouen is a refined example of French ceramics from the 1920s-1930s. The design stands out due to its elegant, ribbed shape and the characteristic handles that give the silhouette extra character. It is also known as the zigzag model due to its striking shape.
The object is crafted from ceramic and features rich, multicolored floral painting on a cream-colored background. The decoration displays the traditional motifs and craftsmanship for which the Rouen style is known. The underside is marked 'ROUEN'.
