Product description
An iconic piece of playful 1980s–1990s design, the rotating "Mina" coat rack, also known as Sputnik, is a creation by Osvaldo Borsani for IKEA. Its sculptural and joyfully colorful aesthetic makes it both a decorative object and a functional accessory. The piece consists of a central sphere made of purple lacquered wood, from which rods radiate, terminating in colorful wooden balls — yellow and green — evoking a retro-futuristic satellite. The angled arm is made of orange lacquered metal. This model is particularly sought after for its blend of whimsy, functionality, and design history, reflecting a period when Ikea collaborated with major international designers. DIMENSIONS: L: 34x28cm H: 22cm
