The London-based duo Robin Platt and Cairn Young are celebrated for their forward-thinking approach to product and interior design. Their work—balancing sculptural clarity with intuitive ergonomics—was a hallmark of the late 1990s design renaissance.
Robin Platt, educated at the London College of Furniture, was named New Designer of the Year (1989) and received the Gordon Russell Trust Award (1988).
Cairn Young, a graduate of the Central School of Art and Kingston University, collaborated with Platt from 1991 onward, producing award-winning works across Europe.
