Rosenthal studio-linie Liguria – Gilbert Portanier – small design vase, 9.5 cm
Exceptional small porcelain vase from the Rosenthal studio-linie, "Liguria" decor, designed by French artist and ceramist Gilbert Portanier.
The vase impresses with its clear cylindrical shape with a widely flared, funnel-shaped opening and a velvety-matte, anthracite-colored surface.
Particularly expressive is the all-around abstract decor with lively color fields in turquoise, orange, red, and cream, complemented by gold-colored lines and graphic ornaments.
The playful composition is reminiscent of modern painting and forms a charming contrast to the strict geometric shape.
A characteristic example of European artist porcelain from the second half of the 20th century.
