For the lover of iconic mid-century and modernist design: a beautiful, 15-piece tea or coffee set from the high-quality Rosenthal Studio-linie.
This is the rare 'Century White' series (Form 8000), designed in 1979 by the legendary Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala in honor of Rosenthal's 100th anniversary.
This specific version is an absolute design icon and is even included in the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou in Paris. The white porcelain features a subtle, tactile relief pattern of dots, inspired by nature, also known as a sea urchin structure.
Unique design features of this set:
- 1 tea/coffee pot with handle: The pot features the characteristic, sleek metal handle.

- 7 cups on feet: The generous cups rest on three small, characteristic feet, making them appear to 'float' elegantly. They are designed to be used both with and without saucers.

- 7 multifunctional plates:
The plates are designed to be completely flat without the traditional ring in the middle. This makes them perfect for use as elegant side plates for pastries, petit fours, or chocolates.

Condition of the crockery:
The complete set is in absolute perfect condition. No chips, no hairline cracks, no discolorations, and the metal handle of the teapot is scratch-free. The crockery is, of course, originally marked on the underside with the Rosenthal Studio-line stamp.
The set can be carefully and thickly packed in bubble wrap for shipping (risk and cost to buyer), or picked up in Vreeland.
