Colorful works, tropical settings and above all sun, sea and beach. Characteristic of his work are the many shades of color and the various shades in which he builds up his works. Various shades of red, yellow and blue are used side by side as contrast or to suggest depth. His landscapes can be described as built-up color scenes. Colour, warmth and a sunny outlook on life. Those are the three elements that characterize artist Ronald Boonacker, in life and work. He has been traveling the world for decades. In the most diverse places on earth, he is touched by landscapes, tropical beaches, islands, palm trees and sunsets. The immense beauty, the immeasurable greatness: on the canvas, Boonacker finally found the way to capture the indescribable experience of the nature surrounding us. In his studios in Amsterdam and Acapulco in Mexico, the artist mainly works with acrylic paint in bright tones and with strong color accents, sometimes interspersed with silver or gold. However cosmopolitan his art may be, the basis for his canvases lies in the Dutch traditional still lifes and landscapes. Although he can settle in anywhere, Boonacker's roots are unmistakably in the Netherlands.
