This masterpiece of organic glass art is
a creation by the renowned Czech designer Hana
Machovská, from the mythical "Romana" collection
produced from 1960 by the Mstišov glassworks. Entirely hand-shaped
while hot, the piece unfolds into an
oblong, fluid, and asymmetrical form. It features
a superb chromatic superposition where an intense cobalt
blue and an amber hue merge
in the heart of a clear glass block.
A listed studio work of great
plastic force, whose sculptural silhouette
and typical curves of Central European design
magnificently capture the light. A highly sought-after
expert object for Mid-Century interiors.
