Original signed and numbered lithograph by Rolf Rafflewski (1943–2019), renowned for his poetic views of Paris.
This large-format lithograph depicts the Pont au Double and the historic Hôtel-Dieu on the Île de la Cité, viewed from the Quai de Montebello on the Left Bank of the Seine. The Petit-Pont (today Petit-Pont–Cardinal-Lustiger) can also be seen in the background, creating a remarkably accurate and atmospheric view of historic Paris.
Unlike the artist’s more common scenes of the Pont Neuf or Montmartre, this composition is rarely encountered.
