Rolf Benz 222 design corner sofa + ottoman (Blue leather & fabric cushions – Ideal base for reupholstering)
Description:
An original Rolf Benz 222 design corner sofa with matching ottoman/footstool, approximately 25 years old. This iconic, organic model is known for its ultimate flexibility and is an absolute classic from this premium brand.
Unique features of this model:
Seating island concept: By sliding the specifically shaped ottoman into the semicircular curve of the sofa, a beautiful 'pie slice' is created, transforming the sofa into a luxurious, enclosed seating island.
Adjustable comfort: The sofa is equipped with smoothly operating, mechanically adjustable backrests for optimal sitting and lying comfort.
Version & Materials:
Base & Ottoman: Blue leather.
Cushions (5 pieces total): Made of comfortable fabric. 2 pieces in terracotta fabric, 3 pieces in a blue with terracotta mottled fabric.
Condition of the sofa:
Internal structure & suspension: In absolute top condition. The sofa still sits and supports exactly as you would expect from Rolf Benz. No sagging spots; the high-quality frame and construction are indestructible.
Upholstery: The leather of the base shows clear signs of wear and optical deterioration after 25 years of loyal service. The sofa is therefore perfectly suitable for reupholstering / refurbishing.
With a new leather or fabric cover, you will have an exclusive design furniture piece in new condition that will last for decades.
Asking price & Collection:
The most important thing is that this quality sofa gets a beautiful new life and doesn't end up as bulky waste. A small fee (offer based on value for a fixer-upper) is highly appreciated, but if you, as an upholsterer, can quickly and professionally disassemble and take it away, free collection is negotiable.
The sofa must be collected in Baarn. Please note that Rolf Benz furniture is heavy and solidly built; ensure you have sufficient strength and appropriate transport.
Are you an upholsterer, design refurbisher, or an enthusiast who wants to give this design classic a second life? Contact us or make an offer!
