Robert Indiana: "LOVE (Stonian)." Carpet. "LOVE" (Estonian edition 2006) designed by Robert Indiana. Handwoven from 100% Indian wool. Copyright by artist on attached label on back. In excellent condition. Robert Indiana is best known for his iconic "LOVE" image, which has appeared in the media in the form of sculptures, prints, paintings and similarly in this art tapestry, thus embodying the artist's graphic, primarily text-based pop art practice. The production of these hand-tufted rugs requires great craftsmanship. Each rug is completely handmade by a tufter and manufactured with highly selected materials (pure wool). This rug has never been framed and is kept in dark archival storage between protective acid-free paper. The photos shown are part of the description, the frame(size) shown are for illustration purposes and is not included.
