He has a series of exhibitions behind him, each time publishing idiosyncratic catalogs. Van Iersel is very curious about materials, about media and about life itself. As an eighteen-year-old, he designed posters for pop concerts at the Effenaar. He draws comics, plays drums in Der Junge Hund and creates his first large colorful expressionist paintings that immediately lead to a solo exhibition at Galerie Willy Schoots. In the years that follow, Rik van Iersel exhibits in Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, New York and San Francisco.The work is in fine condition, nicely framed etblack/silver frame
