Rietveld Red Blue Chair Miniature Construction Kit. A Collectors Item from 1983.
Original edition, paint may have dried out but the jars have never been opened. Original instructions etc.
Beautiful miniature of Rietveld's famous red and blue chair. Beautiful clean and angular lines that nicely reflect the abstract art of Piet Mondrian. The design combined with the use of primary colors is a great example of the principles of the style.
Condition: the box has some discoloration and scratches. The wooden parts have never been out of the bag and are therefore new, but over 40 years old.
The cardboard packaging is somewhat battered, but the parts are all still in the (plastic) packaging. Pots of paint have never been opened. So the set is like new and the signs of use are mainly about the box.
