About ten to fifteen years ago, I accurately recreated the Rietveld buffet according to the guidelines from “Rietveld furniture to make yourself”. The door hinges are better than described. The buffet shone in my practice for years, but after moving to an apartment, there is no longer room for it. I recently sanded and varnished it again, and it is now under moving blankets in perfect condition, waiting for a new enthusiast. The solid wood is yellow poplar, the tops are birch plywood.
