About this seller
Private sellerProduct description
This vintage alarm clock from the Chambord brand was manufactured in West Germany. Its design is characteristic of the Mid-Century Modern era, with a clear and functional aesthetic that highlights its mechanical simplicity.
The casing of the clock is made of metal, probably brass, and rests on a simple and elegant stand. The black dial offers a striking contrast with the Arabic numerals and golden hour markers. The hands, also golden, feature luminescent inserts, a typical characteristic of clocks from this period for readability in the dark. The inscription 'West Germany' at the bottom of the dial attests to its origin and production during the post-war period.
This object retains its authentic character and bears the marks of time, giving it a distinctive patina. The general condition reflects its history and use over the decades. It is an original piece that has not been restored, thus preserving its vintage soul.
This alarm clock is a characterful addition to a bedside table, a desk, or a shelf. It fits perfectly into a vintage, industrial, or Mid-Century inspired decor, bringing a touch of history and classic design.
