About this seller
ProfessionalProduct description
This charming table lamp dates back to the 1960s and was manufactured in Jablonec nad Nisou, a city with a rich tradition of lighting and glass design. As a typical representative of the "Mid-Century" era, it combines technical precision with the aesthetic sensibility of the time, which emphasized elegance and functionality. The lamp evokes the nostalgia of the interior style of the period, with its metal base and delicate lampshade creating a harmonious whole suitable for decorative ambient lighting.
The design and aesthetics of the lamp lie in the clean lines of the metal base, softened by the fabric of the lampshade, which gives the light a pleasant, diffused quality. The lamp has undergone professional restoration, during which its electrical system was completely renewed. Thanks to this intervention, it is not only fully functional and safe for contemporary use, but it has also retained its authentic period character, which is crucial for collectors and design enthusiasts.
Its restored condition, combined with its historical origin from the renowned Jablonec region, determines the high collector and utility value of this fixture. For its owner, it represents not only a beautiful functional accessory with the spirit of the 1960s but also an investment in high-quality Czechoslovak design. As a striking interior centerpiece, the lamp will act as a timeless element that bridges the history of honest manufacturing with modern standards of care for historical objects.
